Ayatollah al-Najafi:
Rasa – The revered Pakistani source of emulation stated, “The pilgrims to the holy shrines can attain closeness to God Almighty through the path of the Ahl al-Bayt.” RNA – A group of Shi’ahs from India and Pakistan met with Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi while traveling to the holy Iraqi city of Najaf to visit the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib.
The revered Pakistani source of emulation who is based in Najaf emphasized on the necessity of accountability, purifying the soul and gaining closeness to God Almighty and said, “Forgiveness and attaining closeness to God Almighty must be done through the Ahl al-Bayt.”
He added, “Pilgrimage to the holy shrines has many effects on mankind and leads him away from returning toward sins.”
Ayatollah al-Najafi answered the questions posed by those present in regard to theological issues.
