Hujjat al-Islam Mojtahed-‎Shabestari said that the government must prevent the enemies ‎organized influence on cultural issues and added, “The internet must not be left unchecked ‎and be put at the disposable of the people.”‎

RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Javad Mojtahed-‎‎Shabestari, the representative of the people of West Azerbaijan province in the Assembly of ‎‎Experts‎, stated that the government must pay attention to the issue of the livelihoods and ‎cultural issues of the society and focus on these two issues and said, “Today, livelihood and ‎cultural issues are two issues that the government must focus on more than ever before.”‎

The teacher in the Islamic Seminary referred to the intentions of the Supreme Leader of the ‎Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] in regard to the economic system of Iran and ‎stated, “Given his remarks over the past few years and the special emphasis he has placed ‎on the Resistance Economy, we find that the main duty of the government is to regulate the ‎economic situation.” ‎

Hujjat al-Islam Mojtahed-‎Shabestari stated that the economy issue has a direct impact on ‎culture and considered the Resistance Economy as an important defensive and jihadi ‎bulwark.‎

He pointed out the enemies’ organized efforts to promote cultural negligence‏ ‏and said, “The ‎enemies are seeking to infiltrate the cultural front of the country through various means. By ‎launching a cultural conflict, the enemies seek to destroy Islamic culture and weaken the ‎peoples’ beliefs, especially those of the youth.” ‎

Hujjat al-Islam Mojtahed-‎Shabestari said that one of the enemies’ weapons and means of ‎penetrating the peoples’ hearts and minds, especially those of the youth of the country is ‎through the internet and emphasized the need to decontaminate and refine this space by the ‎government and said, “We don’t oppose the availability of the internet but we want it to be ‎decontaminated and cleansed. The internet must not be left unchecked and be put at the ‎disposable of the people.”‎
